Karl Lagerfeld, the Chanel designer except fashion,photography and many other things has another addiction- more like an obsession. He wants to promote thin people.
He also wrote the book "The Karl Lagerfeld Diet" since he lost 92 pounds
So here he is once again to redesign & promote a product that women love to drink & has only 1 calorie !

Espadrilles - The start to owning a boat

Last weekend I traveled to Aegina island with some friends and although the weather in Athens was really moody the weather there was amazing.
Aegina is a little greek island 30 minutes away (with a ferry) from Athens.
Aegina is well-known for its history and for its art and craft events that take place there. If you have the chance to visit don't forget to walk through the beautiful alleys.You'll find out amazing handmade jewellery and other shopping treasures.


My purchase was a pair of espradrilles !
What do and what we don't know about espadrilles :

• The term espadrille is French and derives from the Catalan name for the shoes, espardenya, which derives from espart , the Catalan name for esparto, a tough, wiry Mediterranean grass used in making rope.

• These shoes do not have a left and a right - each shoe can be worn on either foot

• Espadrilles have been made in Catalonia since the 14th century at least, and there are Catalan shops still in existence that have been making espadrilles for over a century.
  

• Espadrilles became fashionable in USA in the 1940s. Lauren Bacall's character in the 1948 movie "Key Largo" wore ankle-laced espadrilles. The style was revived in the 1980s, due to the success of Miami Vice - the shoe was worn by "Sonny Crockett" (Don Johnson).

• They’re particularly associated with casual summer wear & clothing for cruise ships

• manufacturers in Spain, France, and Italy import jute soles from Bangladesh to finish espadrilles in those countries.

David Lynch & Lady Bleu for Dior

My first experience with David Lynch was 5 years ago.
If you never heard of him , you should know he's an American filmmaker and visual artist.A friend of mine opened to me the door to the magic world of David Lynch.It started with "Twin Peaks:Fire walk with me" continued to the classic"Blue Velvet" and ended with the surreal "Inland Empire(2006)".
And that door never closed.
And now in 2010 he came back by creating a short film for the Dior campaign titled "Lady Blue".
If you listen to the music and observe the colors you will realize that everything in that short film is characteristic of David Lynch.I love the chaos in his mind.
In our days everybody has to learn how to live and handle his own Chaos.
Only David made it his profession.

Oh baby baby it's a Cork world

I'm staring at a bottle of wine and can't help but wonder.What do we know about Corks ?
Cork is like the geek student in the class that you never even knew his name (but was always there!)and suddenly he's the talk of the town!
You must give a second look just to confirm that it is really him!
It seems to me that cork has just hit the ceiling in all sorts of places.
Design , Architecture , Fashion Industry even Technology .
When did this material stop being just a bottle stopper and become a must-have gadget ?
Suddenly everywhere I go I bump into it!
