House tour : Vacation house of 'Le pain Quotidien' family

Le pain Quotidien is definitely one of my favorite places in London.
A place to enjoy your brunch, have a coffee, work & read.
So when I discovered this house tour on Architectural Digest I was thrilled.
A vacation house that belongs to Vincent Herbert, CEO of Le Pain Quotidien, and his wife, Laurence Verbeke.
Renovated by Francis D’Haene of D’Apostrophe Design , it's located in Remsenburg, New York.
I love the Tom Dixon pendant lamps that are hanging over the dining table.

Enjoy!

You light up my Tuesday : Skull Chandelier

This skull chandelier is a creation by Hans Van Bentem.
An Artist born in The Hague, he now lives and works in Rotterdam, the Czech Republic and China.
He creates some of the most impressive chandeliers you'll ever see.
Today I want to focus on the Skull Chandelier, an extraordinary rock lighting pendant.
Definitely not suitable for an apartment but a great choice for events or even a restaurant.
What do you think?

Check out all the other Chandelier creations by Hans Van Bentem here.

DIY Monday : Christmas in a jar

I found this amazing DIY project on 'The Tortoise and the Hare' blog and I have to admit that I loved it. I've saved this picture so I can make something similar and I think you will find the concept amazing,  plus it's really easy! The concept is really simple: Christmas in a jar.
You will need some empty glass jars and a few Christmas decorations. Some paint to dye everything and maybe some snow to put it on the bottom of the jar! Read the instructions by the lovely sisters of thetortoiseandthehare blog here.
Would you attempt to create something similar?

I can't wait to create my own Christmas jars!

Chair Wednesday : Tip Ton chair by Vitra

Let me introduce you to Vitra's Tip Ton chair. Designed by Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby in collaboration with Vitra.
A simple chair that differs from all other usual plastic chairs because it can be tilted forward from its normal position and will remain stationary at a 9 degree incline. The ideal chair for restaurants, conference and office spaces but also universities and schools.
You can find it in eight different colours and it's made from polypropylene. Durable & 100% recyclable. Find out more about Tin Ton chair here.

House tour : Nostalgic Retro apartment

Another house tour that belongs to a Designer. Charlotte Adrian is an senior designer and works for Royal Copenhagen. Her apartment has a nostalgic atmosphere with vintage details. I love the cozy corner with the bold pink armchair and the 60's inspired table.

Light up my Tuesday : Retro lighting pendants

Coco flip studio is a Melbourne based design studio. I fell in love with these retro pendants since I first saw them. The pendant in the first picture is "Mr. Cooper" and you can check it out here and the second pendant is called Coco pendant and you can explore all the details about it here. I can easily imagine one Coco pendant hanging over my breakfast bar!
