House tour : A blogger's apartment

This apartment belongs to a Amelia, the woman behind the 'A beautiful Living' blog.
I always love to post house toursof Bloggers because I like to understand their inspirations, their lifestyle and their daily routine.
Modern details in a bright interior full of books and cozy corners around the house.
Did you notice the Chesterfield couch in the living room? Take a look at this post to remember a few things and information about Chesterfield couches.
I love the way she stores her shoes, it reminds me of the way I store my shoes back in my apartment in Athens.

I hope you have a lovely weekend!

House tour : Stylish canal studio in Amsterdam

A stylish studio apartment with vintage aesthetics in Amsterdam.
I loved the bathtub but I don't know if a bathtub like this one could be practical in real life.
Notice the Eames lounge chair in the living room and the vintage chandeliers hanging over the kitchen worktop.
What do you think? How would you like to own a bathtub like this one?

House tour : A tiny apartment on wheels

This is a 172 square foot apartment that Tumbleweed company designed.
It has a sleeping area for two, a tiny kitchen & bathroom and the most amazing thing is that is also has a  stainless steel propane fireplace! You can move it everywhere you want and you also have the option to build it yourself for $20.000. A ready made costs about $44,997.
What do you think? How would you feel if you could move your apartment anywhere you wanted?
It would be a dream come true for me.

DIY Monday : Christmas calender Ideas

A minimalistic Christmas Calender - via

London is really moody and cold today, the only thing I can think about is Christmas.
I'm counting down for Christmas holidays with my family and friends and I decided I need a calender for that. A special calender that will count the days until the time I'm home.
I did a little research and I found some great DIY ideas.
I hope you like them and they'll give you inspiration for your own Christmas decorations.

Do you have a special countdown?

House tour : A fashionista's apartment

This apartment definitely belongs to a person with a great sense of style.
Dark floors combined perfectly with fashionable posters and colorful books.
I heart all the artworks that are displayed on the walls.
Check out how the owner uses a ladder to decorate his bathroom.
It is for sale on Bolaget.

What do you think?

House tour : Vacation house of 'Le pain Quotidien' family

Le pain Quotidien is definitely one of my favorite places in London.
A place to enjoy your brunch, have a coffee, work & read.
So when I discovered this house tour on Architectural Digest I was thrilled.
A vacation house that belongs to Vincent Herbert, CEO of Le Pain Quotidien, and his wife, Laurence Verbeke.
Renovated by Francis D’Haene of D’Apostrophe Design , it's located in Remsenburg, New York.
I love the Tom Dixon pendant lamps that are hanging over the dining table.

Enjoy!

You light up my Tuesday : Skull Chandelier

This skull chandelier is a creation by Hans Van Bentem.
An Artist born in The Hague, he now lives and works in Rotterdam, the Czech Republic and China.
He creates some of the most impressive chandeliers you'll ever see.
Today I want to focus on the Skull Chandelier, an extraordinary rock lighting pendant.
Definitely not suitable for an apartment but a great choice for events or even a restaurant.
What do you think?

Check out all the other Chandelier creations by Hans Van Bentem here.
