House tour : White paradise in Mykonos

"If you deconstruct Greece, you will in the end see an olive tree, a grapevine, and a boat remain.  That is, with as much, you reconstruct her." Odysseas Elytis

The love affair between white and blue in Greece is intense. If Greece was a summer house, this how it would be. Bright, simple, eclectic  and white. This Kanalia Hill house is located in Mykonos and it's definitely the prettiest thing you will see today.
I hope you have a great day!

Styling recipe : Round dining tables

Happy Tuesday! I hope you all have a lovely day, I'm really happy because I'm currently packing my suitcase to fly to Greece for a week. I'm planning on spending the next 10 days under sun with friends & family and great food!
Today I want to share with you a couple of tips about dining rooms. How do you feel about round dining tables? I'm a huge fan of them and I always like sitting on a round table in a restaurant (especially when we're many people!) but when it comes to an apartment I usually choose a classic shape for a dining table. These images show how round tables can be used in two different ways: modern & romantic. The secret is to choose the right chairs & lighting pendant. If you choose minimalistic chairs you can easily create a modern and "glossy" atmosphere. Remember the lighting pendant needs to be simple, too. But if you're a fan of vintage aesthetics with 3-4 vintage chairs in pastel colors, a vase with fresh flowers and a vintage chandelier hanging from the ceiling you will create a beautiful rustic-romantic dining area.
What do you think?

Add a bold element to your home office

When it comes to home offices I'll give you only one piece of advice: Don't be afraid.
Just because it's part of your home it doesn't mean it has to be boring. These two images show how a couple of simple things can make your office space look like it came from an Interior magazine. Use a bold piece of art to make your home office stand out. It can be anything you love! I loved the Eiffel tower and the empty frame with the letters & numbers. Two really simple things that is a glimpse of who you are.
So, don't be afraid, create a home office that screams your name and your personality!

What do you think? What's your favorite piece on your home office?

Styling Recipe: Clothes rails

These are some images I've collected as inspiration for my new apartment here in London. It's a double studio and I don't have a lot of storage, so I'm trying to find different ways to store all of the jackets/dress and shoes I've brought with me. At this point I have books and shoes lying around the floor and the boyfriend complains all the time about them. I'm currently looking for minimalistic clothes rail on ebay and on the IKEA website but I haven't decided which one suits me best. I have to decide between this one, this one and this one. What do you think?
Are you a big fan of exposed storage units?
I love everything that reminds me of industrial lofts!

East Village London exhibition

Yesterday I was invited by London Living to the the launch of the first exhibition to showcase the design and architecture of East Village. If you're a Londoner you already know that east London is the place to be right now. This specific part of London is brimming with street markets, vintage shops, galleries and converted industrial buildings.
The exhibition was packed with people interested in Architecture and Design and were there to see the work of 16 internationally renowned architects and  the wider transformation of Stratford and East London. One of my favorite parts was the Residential Density model,  the higher the peak of the model, the greater the number of people living close together. During 2012, the Village will be temporarily adapted to accommodate athletes at the Olympics, before opening for the public to buy and rent in 2013.

The exhibition will be open from 13th to the 31st of March 2012, the entrance is free and it's open from Monday to Friday (9am – 6pm) and on Saturday (10am – 5pm).
If you're a design-junkie like me , I suggest you plan a visit really soon!
For more information visit East Village London website here.

See you later, with a new post!

House tour: Elegant summer house

The weather here in London is still kind of cold and gloomy and although I'm a huge fan of rainy days I'm also a huge fan of summer houses. I can't wait for the day that I'll go back to Greece for holidays and enjoy the sun and sea. This apartment is a brilliant example of how summer houses should be. Simple, elegant and chic. Beige and white colors combined perfectly with wooden details. Notice the wooden ceiling in the bedroom. I'm in love. Photographed by Martin Morrell.
Winter or Summer? Which one do you prefer more?
I hope you all have an amazing weekend!

Styling Recipe: Decorating with flowers

As I've told you before, one of my favorite things during the weekend is buying the week's flowers.
I usually choose tulips but lately I've been cutting branches from all those blossoming almond trees around London! For the last couple of months, I've saved many glass bottles and jars that have an interesting shape or a different size and today was the day that they were finally useful. I've cleaned them and created a small group of flower vases. My hot pink tulips look amazing in them and they bring a colorful touch to all this gloomy British weather! What do you think?
Do you usually use jars & bottles as flower vases?

Homemade Cheese muffins

I know, I haven't post anything about food before but cooking and food styling is a big part of my daily life and I'm always tweeting about recipes that I've tried, posting images of them on instagram (you can find me as unidentifiedlifestyle). Many of you have asked me for specific recipes, so I've decided to share with you one recipe every week. One of my favorite habits during the weekend is to explore and experiment with new recipes! John John loves this habit, too because he can taste everything! This weekend I've followed this recipe and made cheese muffins. I've used 3 different kinds of cheese: cheddar, mozzarella and feta cheese. The result was amazing, they were really tasty and so easy to make! The whole process took me less than an hour! A great recipe for busy modern girls ;) Take a look at my Pinterest board 'Recipes: Bake&Make' here.

You can try more combinations and different kinds of cheese, colorful peppers and olive oils. I hope you like this recipe and if you try it I'd love to know how it went! I'm so excited for this new 'recipe' section! I can't wait to share more of my experimentations with you!
