House tour: Elegant summer house

The weather here in London is still kind of cold and gloomy and although I'm a huge fan of rainy days I'm also a huge fan of summer houses. I can't wait for the day that I'll go back to Greece for holidays and enjoy the sun and sea. This apartment is a brilliant example of how summer houses should be. Simple, elegant and chic. Beige and white colors combined perfectly with wooden details. Notice the wooden ceiling in the bedroom. I'm in love. Photographed by Martin Morrell.
Winter or Summer? Which one do you prefer more?
I hope you all have an amazing weekend!

Styling Recipe: Decorating with flowers

As I've told you before, one of my favorite things during the weekend is buying the week's flowers.
I usually choose tulips but lately I've been cutting branches from all those blossoming almond trees around London! For the last couple of months, I've saved many glass bottles and jars that have an interesting shape or a different size and today was the day that they were finally useful. I've cleaned them and created a small group of flower vases. My hot pink tulips look amazing in them and they bring a colorful touch to all this gloomy British weather! What do you think?
Do you usually use jars & bottles as flower vases?

Have a great day!

Homemade Cheese muffins

I know, I haven't post anything about food before but cooking and food styling is a big part of my daily life and I'm always tweeting about recipes that I've tried, posting images of them on instagram (you can find me as unidentifiedlifestyle). Many of you have asked me for specific recipes, so I've decided to share with you one recipe every week. One of my favorite habits during the weekend is to explore and experiment with new recipes! John John loves this habit, too because he can taste everything! This weekend I've followed this recipe and made cheese muffins. I've used 3 different kinds of cheese: cheddar, mozzarella and feta cheese. The result was amazing, they were really tasty and so easy to make! The whole process took me less than an hour! A great recipe for busy modern girls ;) Take a look at my Pinterest board 'Recipes: Bake&Make' here.

You can try more combinations and different kinds of cheese, colorful peppers and olive oils. I hope you like this recipe and if you try it I'd love to know how it went! I'm so excited for this new 'recipe' section! I can't wait to share more of my experimentations with you!

I'm still here.

I'm sorry for being absent for so long. I've received some very kind emails and tweets from you and that's why I'm writing this post. Sometimes life gives us challenges to make us stronger and the only thing we can do is pick ourselves up and walk again, just like small kids do.
Don't forget to appreciate every single day. I'll be back soon.
Thank you for coming back to Unidentified Lifestyle every day.

Five places in London

Today I've decided to share with you a few of my favorite spots in London (I think this will be a new weekly section!). All of these places made me smile the last week and offered me comfort with their great food/coffee/drinks and the most important of all : with their Interior.
I hope you like them. Do you have any other suggestions? I'd love to hear them!

'Daylesford Organic Food' One of my favorite places for Brunch (and more!) in London. Amazing coffee and great food for a Sunday

'Daylesford Organic Food' Fresh vegetables, meat, organic honey and marmalade. It is located at Notting Hill.

Vintage shopping is one of my favorite habits since I've moved to London. This is only one of the many vintage shops I've visited. Just stop by Brick Lane market on a Sunday morning and let the vintage hunt begin!

I've discovered this spot on a freezing day so I'm really attached to it because it offered me a hot cup of cappuccino and free wifi. Let me introduce you to 'The Book Club' one of my favorite places at the Old Street/Shoreditch area.

This place is on top of my list : The Breakfast club. Retro aesthetics combined with tasty burgers. You can often find me in there blogging! My two favorites Breakfast Clubs are located at Soho & Hoxton square.
Last but not least, definitely my favorite hot spot : My apartment. Because at the end of the day the only thing you want to do is go back to your bed. And my bed has a pretty nice view, don't you think?

How do you feel about Valentine's day?

I know, I know. Most of the people love to make fun of Valentine's day but this year I've decided that I like this holiday. Valentine's day can be a reminder this year. We can all take a minute and look at the person next to us and say "Hey, you know what? I love you". I don't believe in the cliche "When you're truly in love, you celebrate every single day" because life doesn't work out like this. After a while, we take people for granted and we always forget how important it is to have a special someone in our life. And this special someone doesn't have to be a boyfriend/girlfriend. It can be a friend or a family member. Valentine's day works like a reminder right in the middle of this cold winter for each one of us who forget to do one of the most important things: express our feelings.

These are some Valentine's day gift ideas, some small and some bigger gestures for the ones we love. Enjoy!

1. A bouquet of pink peonies (take a look at this post about peonies here)
2. A stylish dyptique candle
3. Louis ghost chair (you can buy it here)
4. Guiseppe Zanotti high heels for S/S 2012
5. Cookies with love notes ( take a look at Emily's recipe of the blog cupcakesandcashmere here)
6. Tiffany & co double heart tag pendant for $125 (you can buy it here)

Grab the chance and express your feelings to your loved ones!
Do you have any special plans or a any special gift ideas?

Styling Recipe: Coffee table books

books + one piece of Art + a perfume
One of my favorite habits is going to bookstores and searching for new books. Especially books about design, architecture & fashion because they always have stylish and glossy covers. The next thing I love about buying books is the first moment I bring them back home and I'm trying to find the perfect little corner to display them. Here are a few of my favorite ways to display your 'coffee table books'. My personal style is really close to the third picture with the glass cloche and the magnifying glass.
What's your favorite way to display your coffee table books?

Add a vase with fresh flowers on a stack of colorful books

Black & White books , a magnifying glass (or any other vintage object) and a glass cloche! I love cloches! I think they deserve a whole post on how to use them in our apartments.

Styling Recipe: Exposed brick walls in the bedroom

I have a huge crash on lofts with industrial aesthetics and exposed brick walls are my favorite part.
Have you thought of adding a brick wall in your bedroom? I know the cost for a really brick wall may be really high but there are many wonderful wallpapers that look (and feel!) exactly the same.  Brick walls would look great both in a vintage romantic & in a modern bedroom.Do you belong to the hopelessly romantics or do you have an extremely modern personality? I can't answer this question for my self. One day I love minimalistic white interiors and the other day I'm adding to my apartment bright feminine touches!
What about you?
